My recent stay at Le Sous-Bois in the stunning French countryside was truly memorable, especially for a food lover like me. Upon arrival, I was greeted by the friendly hosts, Valerie and Frederic, who immediately made me feel at home. The charm of the house and its lovely garden set a serene atmosphere, making it the perfect escape. The standout experience, however, was undoubtedly the breakfast. Each morning, we gathered next to the hearth fire, indulging in an array of homemade pastries, including Valerie's delightful apricot muffins. Frederic’s omelettes were expertly crafted, and the selection of champagne added a touch of elegance. The best part? We could choose our breakfast time, which allowed us to savor our meals at a leisurely pace. The spacious room offered a comfortable retreat after our culinary adventures, complete with lovely views of the garden. Le Sous-Bois is a culinary haven that deserves a visit, and I’m already looking forward to my next stay.
